Roaring 20s Gala
Channeling the electric vibe of the 1920s, this gathering will invite Lawrence Park citizens to mark the moment in vintage style. With food, music, décor, and a period inspired dress-code, we will be commemorate the moment in the spirit of the original neighbors who played a part in creating the township.

Quarterly Historical Salons
The Lawrence Park Historical Society will offer a series of lectures over the course of the year that provide information and insight on vital periods in the history of the township, including the pre-GE period, the arrival of GE and early development, Lawrence Park and the World Wars, and Post War Lawrence Park.

Oral History Podcasts
A series of podcasts will capture the invaluable reminiscences of of Lawrence Park natives. Curating the unique experiences and perspectives of individuals who have played a key part in the story of the township will add a rich dimension to the centennial celebration and a lasting legacy.

Children’s Events at the LP Library
Our local library will curate a series of events for young people, exploring some of the intriguing ways that Lawrence Park has played a vital role in the history of the Erie, of Pennsylvania, and of the country.  Potential themes include the Street Name Scientists, Technology - Then, Today & Tomorrow, Railroad History and Build a Train, and Biodiversity & Sustainability.

Block Party
We will invite Parkers to celebrate the centennial with their neighbors with a series of township wide block parties. A local recipe book drawing on historic local church recipes will be distributed to bring add a historical flavor to the event.

Summer Walking Tours
A series of different walking tours will share historical insight on the development and evolution of the township.

Planting for the Future
To ensure that the celebration lives on long after 2026, the Centennial will explore an ambitious tree and garden planting initiative.

Student Contests
We will challenge local students to explore the century of Lawrence Park history and create original work that celebrate the centennial, including essays and art.
